Due to TGA and AHPRA regulations we cannot discuss treatments. Consultations to assist with wrinkles and volume loss are required and a customised treatment plan is designed for you with your nurse and prescribing doctor, this ensures that information provided is accurate, safe, and tailored to your specific needs.

Disclose all medications and medical history before treatment to your treating nurse. Avoid harsh skin treatments such as skin needling, chemical peels, cosmelan. You must not have had a vaccination within 2 weeks of your treatment or have one scheduled 2 weeks after your treatment. You should not be pregnant or trying to become pregnant. Read all documentation prior to treatment. No intoxication of illicit drugs or alcohol 24 hours before treatment.

As with any medical procedure, aesthetic medicine treatments carry potential risks, including:
Redness, swelling, or bruising at the treatment site
Tenderness or discomfort
Infection

Uneven or unexpected results

Most people find treatment manageable.
A fine needle or cannula may be used depending on the treatment area and your individual treatment plan. You may feel some pressure or a brief pinching sensation during treatment.
Your comfort is important to us and we’ll discuss options to help make your treatment as comfortable as possible.

Most appointments take around 60 minutes.
Your appointment includes reviewing your medical history, discussing your concerns, assessing your facial anatomy and developing a personalised treatment plan. Treatment may be performed if appropriate following your consultation and prescribing requirements.

Changes may be noticeable immediately following treatment, however the treated area may also experience temporary swelling and bruising.
As healing progresses, the appearance of the treated area may continue to change over the following days. Your Registered Nurse will explain what to expect during your consultation.

The duration of treatment varies considerably between individuals and product used.
Factors such as the product used, treatment area, metabolism, lifestyle and individual characteristics may all influence how long the effects last. During your consultation we’ll discuss what you may reasonably expect based on your treatment plan.

Swelling is common following volume treatments.
The amount of swelling varies from person to person and depends on the treatment area. Swelling generally improves over the following days, although some areas may take longer to fully settle.

Yes.
Bruising can occur with treatments because small blood vessels sit beneath the skin.
Some people experience no bruising at all, while others may notice small bruises that gradually resolve over several days.
If you ever experience major bruising or pain please always contact your Nurse for advice.

Following treatment, we’ll provide personalised aftercare instructions.
Generally, we recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, excessive heat such as saunas or steam rooms and unnecessary pressure over the treated areas for the recommended period. Following your aftercare advice supports the healing process.

It’s generally recommended to avoid alcohol for 24-48 hours following treatment.
Alcohol may increase the likelihood of bruising and swelling in some individuals.

If possible, it’s best to 24-48 hours before applying makeup to the treated areas.
This is important to allow your skin time to close to avoid infection and also so you can monitor bruising and contact your nurse if you are concerned with bruising changes.

We generally recommend avoiding strenuous exercise for 48 hours.
Exercise increases blood flow and may contribute to swelling or bruising in some individuals.

Yes.

Not everyone is a suitable candidate for treatment.
During your consultation we’ll review your medical history, medications, facial anatomy and concerns to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you. If treatment isn’t suitable, we’ll explain why and discuss alternative options where appropriate.

Yes.
Depending on your concerns and treatment goals, volume restoration may form part of a personalised treatment plan that also includes treatments such as wrinkle reduction, skin needling or chemical peels.

If you have questions about previous treatment or would like an assessment, this can be discussed during your consultation.

The timing of future treatments varies between individuals and products used however, as a guide roughly every 12-18 months.
Your Registered Nurse will review your results over time and discuss an appropriate maintenance schedule based on your treatment goals and individual response.
